The Innovators (C) team is composed of passionate first- and second-year students dedicated to creating impactful medical engineering solutions. After extensive research, open discussion, and team voting, we selected the development of a novel guidance cane for visually impaired individuals. We are currently in the design phase, working toward our first functional prototype, with initial concept and design drawings guiding our development process. Our proposed design features an innovative mechanism that adapts the cane’s contacting tip to different terrains, offering an optimized and user-centered mobility experience.
